Honestly, you can throw a party together in 24 hours or you can plan it for weeks, but the most important thing is to be passionate and sincere when you invite people. In no particular order, here are my suggestions for great attendance:
- Be Passionate - In all actuality, by having the party, you are recommending PartyLite to your contacts. Think about why. Is it because you'll get some discounted items? Well, that's good for you, but that isn't good for your contacts. What's in it for them? Why should they come to the party? Is it because you had fun at the party? Is it because the products are great? Is it because you learned a lot about how to burn candles and decorate your home? You must have liked something well enough to host a party yourself. Be honest about why THEY should come.
- Be a PartyLite Fan - Burn your candles, use your fragrance oils, and decorate your home with PartyLite products you've already purchased. Don't hesitate to light your candles. Enjoy them.
- Use the Hostess Envelope - I provide a Hostess Envelope to you. You should read it on both sides and use it to manage your party and all of your notes.
- Make a List - List people you want to invite. Even if you don't know their name, write down a big list of friends, family, neighbours, workmates, gym buddies, mothers group members, hairdressers, manicurists, doctors.
- Invite with Enthusiasm - Think about the passionate reason from above and let people know that this is going to be a fun, informative, and relaxed event. Let them know that you have been to a party yourself and you really enjoyed it. Tell them a little bit about why they should come and let them know that I do require payments at the party (cash, cheque, Visa or Mastercard).
- Use the Invitations I Provide - Part 1 - I do not recommend that you send them out first, though. I recommend that you call, text, email, or FaceBook your guest list first and then you post the invitation as a reminder to people who say yes or maybe.
- Use the Invitations I Provide - Part 2 - Write out 5 invitations and keep them in your purse. When you run into someone who you've forgotten to invite, ask them if they are free and if they are interested, then give them the invitation.
- Send Reminders - Unfortunately, in today's world, people simply do not RSVP very well. As a result, is your job as the host to send reminders and follow-up. One day before the party, I recommend that you send text reminders to everyone who said yes or maybe.
- Encourage Party Crashers - Tell everyone who is coming that they are welcome to bring a friend or family member to crash the party. I will give out presents if they do. The more the merrier!
